We know we'll never top last years awesome
Share the Love event, but here's how we think we can make a difference this year: by Making a "STAND" against cancer. . .
A Lemonade Stand!!
We've already held one lemonade stand at a local garage sale (thanks for letting us host one Kueker family!). With just one lemonade stand so far, our kids raised $150 to donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand in Addison's memory. Not bad for a day's work! Our goal for the summer is to raise $1,700 by September 3rd. We're on our way, but we need your help.
WE MADE IT!!
OUR TOTAL FOR THE SUMMER SURPASSED OUR GOAL AFTER THE LEMONADE STAND AT DAHL'S WHICH BROUGHT IN $653!! YAHOO!!
So, here's the plan and 2 ways you can help:
1. Host your own lemonade stand in Addison's memory. It's easy to do and fun for the kids. Simply serve up the lemonade and have a donations jar for your thirsty customers. A free will donation seems to work best. If you tell people what you are doing and why, you'll be amazed at the generosity you receive. Share Addison's story and our journey to make it more personal too!
After your stand, count up your donations and mail us a check (made out to either Addison's Love or Alex's Lemonade Stand) and we'll do the rest! If you email us a picture of your stand, we'll include it in our 2007 lemonade stand photo album.
2. Participate in our Virtual Lemonade Stand. Don't have time to host your own stand? Buy a virtual cup of lemonade from our website. Just mail us your donation for your e-lemonade and we'll post your name as one of our "Lemonhead" friends. Or, host your own e-lemonade stand by emailing all your friends (and their friends, and their friends, etc). Ask them to join you for a refreshing cup of e-lemonade and become a lemonhead like you! The more we spread the word, the more donations we get, and the more kids we can help! Even a couple dollars or a handful of change from the kids makes such a difference when we all pull together for this worthy cause. Become a lemonhead today!

Addison's family had a lemonade stand at Dahl's in Ankeny on Saturday, September 1st. A big thanks to Dahl's for hosting us. Our stand was a HUGE success!! We are excited to be able to tell you that we raised $653.00 !! That puts us over our goal of $1,700!! Thank you to those of you that stopped by our stand and especially to the volunteers that helped staff it.
